Fr.
Tom Warne and his family have moved to Vancouver, Washington after
11 years with the St. John's family. Fr. Tom began his position at
The Church of the Good Shepard in May. We wish the Warne family all
the very best, and thank Fr. Tom for his leadership, guidance, and
friendship during his time with us.
We
at St. John's look at this period of transition with hope and excitement.
Services continue with the help of Fr. Ron Lynch; Rev. Dr. Ken Aldrich;
Rev. Macrum Elder; and deacon candidate, Charlie Cruikshank. A search
committee has been formed and will begin work on a "parish profile,"
which will be used to match our parish with potential candidates.
Stay tuned for further updates!
We
welcome you to St. John's, and invite you to worship and share some
fellowship with us! Enthusiams bubbles over, as everyone has been
pitching in to take care of "our little grey church." Despite
this transitional period, we are an ACTIVE and growing parish, with
opportunities for spiritual growth sprouting up in many directions.
In
closing, we offer this prayer...
Almighty
and everliving God, ruler of all things in heaven and earth, hear
our prayers for this parish family. Strengthen the faithful, arouse
the careless, and restore the penitent. Grant us all things necessary
for our common life, and bring us all to be of one heart and mind
within your holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
